She Shreds Ski Camps April 13-20 2013

She Shreds is a progressive Women’s ski camp at Kenai Heli Ski.

Spend an all inclusive week at Kenai Heli Ski improving your skills with like minded women in a non competitive, supportive environment tailored to your needs by Big Mountain World Champion Crystal Wright and PSIA Level three instructor, former big mountain competitor and helicopter skiing guide Lynn Kennen. Become more confident by learning techniques and skills of traveling in big mountain terrain, while skiing from a helicopter.  Ski countless runs in the fun, non-intimidating environment of a women’s camp in the stunning Chugach Mountains in Alaska.  This will be an experience of a lifetime and one you will not soon forget.

Included in your cost of $8490.00 is:

-Your transportation from the Anchorage International Airport to the lodge and back.

-All of your ski and avy gear including:

K2 or Meier skis and poles

Avalanche balloon (airbag) backpack

Shovel, probe and beacon from BCA

Harness and carbineer

-All meals and accommodation at the Lodge.

Rooms are double occupancy

Alcohol is included with dinner

-100,000 feet of vertical

This means you will not pay to ski more.  We have figured in plenty of vertical so you know you will not get stuck with hidden charges at the end of your trip, and if you do not get your vertical we give you a refund or credit for the difference. We want your business again and again that’s why we have a clear, simple and fair refund policy.  It is truly all-inclusive.

 General itinerary of camp

 Day One:

-You arrive in Anchorage and we pick you up at the airport and drive you to the Lodge.

-Check in and get settled in your room

Personal orientation to the facility and introductions to camp guests

Check out and be fitted for your demo fat skis or whichever ski you would like to try for the first day and poles.

Watch a digital media presentation on heli skiing safety orientation

Delicious dinner with the crew and other camp participants

 Day Two:

Breakfast in the Lodge

Split into groups depending on skill level and goals

Distribute beacons, backpacks and harnesses

Beacon practice and rescue training with your guide

Helicopter safety orientation with your guide

Suit up; pack your pack with lunch and water

Head out for your first day of heli skiing

We will ease into the heli skiing experience.  Assess your fitness level and work our way up.  Safety is our primary concern.

Have lunch in the field

More skiing after lunch

Return to the lodge for rest and relaxation

Debrief in small groups with your coach while having wine and cheese

Dinner as a group

 Day Three

Optional morning stretch session

Breakfast

Reassess groups and split them differently if needed

Suit up for skiing and grab lunches

Ski in group and get more comfortable in the Chugach Mountains

Have lunch in the field as a large group

Ski more

Afternoon wine and cheese debrief

Dinner with group

Optional evening headlamp walk and northern lights viewing

 Day Four

Optional morning stretch session

Breakfast

Reassess groups and split them differently if needed

Suit up for skiing and grab lunches

Ski in group and get more comfortable in the Chugach Mountains

Turn the difficulty up a notch if comfortable and conditions permit

Have coach film parts of each group using a helmet camera and handheld video camera

Have lunch in the field

Ski more

Afternoon wine and cheese debrief

Dinner with group

Optional video analysis and learn how to make a internet ready video using “I-Movie”

 Day Five

Optional morning stretch session

Breakfast

Reassess groups and split them differently if needed

Suit up for skiing and grab lunches

Ski in group

Have lunch in the field

Ski more

Afternoon wine and cheese debrief

Dinner with group

Optional evening stretch and work out techniques with certified physical trainer Crystal Wright

 Day Six

Optional morning stretch session

Breakfast

Reassess groups and split them differently if needed

Suit up for skiing and grab lunches

Ski in group

Have lunch in the field as a large group

Ski more

Afternoon wine and cheese debrief

Dinner with group

Movie night in lodge

 Day Seven

Optional morning stretch session

Breakfast

Reassess groups and split them differently if needed

Suit up for skiing and grab lunches

Ski in group

Have lunch in the field as a large group

Final evening bon fire and optional poi spinning introduction, watch northern lights.

 Day Eight:

Pack up

Drive back to Anchorage for your flight back home
